The chairman and founder, Arnold Fulton commenced production of umbrellas in 1956. Arnolds background as an engineer, enabled Fulton Umbrellas to invent specialist testing equipment that is constantly being developed and improved. The latest state of the art apparatus and technology ensures strict manufacturing standards are maintained and controlled. Arnold believes strongly in providing innovative and stylish products of high quality, exceeding customers expectations in terms of value and service. These values are also upheld by his son Nigel, who is now the Managing Director.

Working Environment and Culture Nigel Fulton joined as MD in 1998 and during this time he has continued to maintain the highest standards in design and production. Nigel believes that having a strong team, with enthusiasm and motivation, in every area of the business is the key to success. Technical Research, Design and Development Today technical research and development as well as fashion and design are carried out at Fulton House. This is situated in a prime location on the waterfront in Londons Canary Wharf. The in-house design team qualified from the prestigious St Martins College of Art and Design.
