Major redesign of traditional telescopic umbrella, the 'Easy Rider'
Founded in 1956 by inventor and engineer Arnold Fulton, Fulton Umbrellas began as a small workshop in Whitechapel, London, England. Arnold's passion for reliability and innovation led to the development of specialist machinery and streamlined production process that transformed the umbrella industry. Today, Fulton continues to uphold his founding principles. Led by his son, Nigel, our brand has grown into a globally recognised name, trusted by millions to provide enduring protection from the elements.

Fulton's British heritage, superior craftsmanship and innovative design have earned global recognition - including Royal Warrants from Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and previously Her Late Majesty The Queen Mother. Our Iconic Birdcage umbrella, distinguished by it's domed shape and transparent cover, first caught The Queen Mother's eye in 1988 for its perfect balance of protection and visibility.

Queen Elizabeth soon adopted the design, customising it in a range of colours to compliment her outfits.
In March 2009, Fulton was honoured to welcome HM Queen Elizabeth and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh to our London office for an official royal visit, where we showcased our fashion design, production processes and latest innovations.

Today, we are extremely proud that Her Majesty Queen Camilla and other members of the Royal Family continue to use Fulton umbrellas, testament to our fine craftsmanship and durable designs.

At Fulton, innovation is embedded in everything we do. Our engineers fuse advanced technology with smart design to develop patented umbrella frames that maximise durability, safety and wind resistance.

During development, each prototype undergoes rigorous wind tunnel testing under extreme conditions. Structural refinements are identified and incorporated into successive versions and only when we are fully satisfied that every element meets our exacting standards do we proceed to production – guaranteeing exceptional durability and reliability, rain or shine.
